The next meeting of the Northumbria Club will be the Annual Guest Night on Wednesday 12.3.25. It will be at 6pm for 6.30pm at the Army & Navy Club. The after-dinner speaker will be John Duns, co-owner and business development director of publishing business NET, which is based in the North East. It owns North East Times Magazine, Bdaily - a digital news website - and also runs events for business people. John is also an enthusiastic long-term member of the Literary & Philosophical Society of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. He will tell us a little about the general history and activities of the Lit & Phil but will deal in particular with the Society's Library at 23 Westgate Road, a splendid building whose 200th anniversary falls in 2025.
The Northumbria Club provides an opportunity for those with a Northumbrian background or interest in Northumbria to meet socially. Meetings are held at least four times a year at venues including the Army and Navy Club. Click here for membership costs and application.
